Hello all. Why do they even bother building the lofts here in Downtown Los Angeles, they want too much money for them. You see they want to make Downtown Los ANgeles a 'a hip place to go to go' well it still looks like a ghost town to me. Some of these lofts they want $500,000 for them. With interest at 6% that will amount to 1.4 million dollars. Do you have 1.4 million dollars to spare. If so give it here. Let ask you something would you really pay that for that Loft. I wouldn't. The good news is that home prices are dropping, wil these prices drop though? I don't think so.remember the dude who had the lofts has to pay back the loan he or she (equal oppurtunity) took out to pay for the construction of these lofts in DOwntown LOs angeles. Well you get what you pay. I think this might be a reprieve for some of the people in Downtown Los Angeles for now. I hope it stays that way. Hello all. Well I have no neighbors now. My next door neighbor (the one that liked to scream at the walls) has moved. Anyway, they are now looking at the Ford Hotel to buy it. The Rosslyn Hotel wants 14 million dollars to purchase it. SRO said 'that is not going to happen' you see SRO wants to buy 10 hotels for 50 million dollars, however, they did not compute that the Rosslyn hotel would ask for so much. Now they want the Ford hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, however, the Ford is listed as 'substandard housing' and anyway, the DOwntown L.A. hotel is listed at 6.5 million dollars which I don't think the SRO wants to pay that. Now the owners of the Downtown Los Angeles Ford Hotel are asking for 6-7 million dollars. I don't know if SRO will pay that. Well I don't know what is going to happen. If I worry that will not do me any good right.
