downtown Los Angeles Intro to the truth 8-13

Hello. Well I wasn't home too much this weekend, but the neighborhood I live in seemed to be quiet for once. People are behaving a little bit more, because LAPD is cruising around more. Anymore the Los Angeles city council has just decided to vote in approval for more construction of lofts and stuff. Meanwhile, forcing the 'poor' to stay in tighter spots in the area. The owner of our building is not admitting anymore people into the building to rent. Why? because he wants to sell it. If he sells it I have been told that we will receive between 3000-5000 dollars for moving expenses. Don't know if that is true. So if some rooms are vacant the owner will not have to pay anyone anything for a vacant room. The question is how long can he continue on that trail before seriously loosing money. Don't know.
